Our services
They are ordered by how far we get involved in your work, and by how concrete or abstract that work is: from building the software, to teaching you to build it.
Software development
Our core focus is the JavaScript language and its rich ecosystem. We use it on the frontend, with React, Angular and React Native, and on the backend with Node.js.
Our approach is based on agile methods, which we treat as a real set of principles rather than buzzwords: Extreme Programming practices while building — test driven development, pair programming, code review — Scrum and Kanban for project management, continuous integration and delivery to get projects into production.
We usually work time-and-material. Depending on the project we staff a team of varying size, full or part-time, for anything from a month to several years.
Types of project
- Web
- React is our tool of choice. We have used it since its early days and know both the library and its ecosystem in depth. We adapt quickly to Angular, Vue or Svelte — long experience is what lets us pick the right tool for the job.
- Mobile
- On mobile we use React Native: the same knowledge and the same paradigms as the Web, but the applications run as native ones.
- Backend
- Node.js, the most popular JavaScript framework for servers and scripts. Knowing it in depth lets us use it to its full extent, together with the open source ecosystem around it.
- Cloud native
- We build high quality software, and the infrastructure it runs on has to meet the same standard. We use AWS, Google Cloud Platform and Azure, and don’t rule out Heroku or Netlify when the project calls for it.
Consulting and coaching
Remotamente’s experience in software development lets us offer consulting and coaching.
Some projects require familiarity with problems — security, performance, architecture and infrastructure — that less experienced teams may not have. In those cases our involvement is bounded and solves one specific problem.
When the problem lies with the team instead, we offer coaching: we pair up with the customer’s people and raise quality and productivity, without necessarily taking ownership of the software itself.
Team augmentation
One or more Remotamente developers join the customer’s team. It is a particularly effective way to deliver a project and raise internal skills at the same time.
The result is twofold: the software gets built, and the people who will maintain it for years to come get better at their job.
Remote training
Finally, technical training completes the offer. How well we know our tools of the trade is what lets us share that knowledge and train our customers’ development teams.

We think of training as the tip of the iceberg, complementing the rest of what we do. It can be very effective on its own, but unless what is learned gets repeated and folded into the daily routine it quickly loses its edge — especially given the pace at which these technologies move.
